Materials
Fingering weight yarn, and crochet hook size 2.5 - 2.75 mm / C.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.
Techniques used in this stitch
UK / US crochet term:
Chain stitch – ch
Slip stitch – sl.st
Double crochet / Single crochet – dc / sc
Treble / Double crochet – tr/dc
Cluster of 3 tr/dc - cl
Stitch - st
Back Post dc /sc – BPdc/sc: work like normal dc/sc but insert your hook from back to front between the the first and second stitches in the row below, and then from front to back again between the second and third stitches.
Font Post tr /dc – FPtr/dc: work like normal tr/dc but insert your hook from front to back and then over tr/dc from back to front.

Round 1: (light pink yarn) make 5 ch, * 1 tr/dc + 1ch in las ch; rep from* 6 times, sl.st in 4th ch, take dark pink yarn and make 1 sl.st in space of 4ch.
Round 2: 3ch, work cluster of 2 tr/dc in space of 4ch below, * 3ch, 1 cl in space of 1ch; rep from *6 times, 3ch, sl.st in 3rd ch, take white yarn and make 1 sl.st in space of 3ch.
Round 3: 1ch, * 1dc in space of 3ch, 1FPtr/dc over tr/dc of 1st round below, 1 dc/sc in the same space of 3ch, 3ch; rep from* 7 times, sl.st in ch, take grey yarn and make 1 sl.st in top of FPtr/dc.
Round 4: 1ch * 8 tr/dc in space of 3ch, 1dc/sc in top of FPtr / FPdc; rep from * 6times, 8 tr/dc in space of 3ch, sl.st in ch.
Joining
Work 4 tr/dc in space of 3ch. Drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook from front to back under the top 2 loops of the 4th stitch of the group of another motif, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch.
Work 4 tr/dc in the same space of 3ch.
Small motif.
Round 1: take blue yarn and make 4ch, 16 tr/dc in last ch, sl.st in 4th ch, fasten off.
Round 2: take white yarn, insert your hook from back to front between 3ch and the first tr/dc, and then from front to back again between the first and second tr/dc. Grab the yarn with your hook, pull it through the stitches and make 2ch.
Work next: *1 FPdc / FPsc, 1ch, joining, 1ch, 1 FPdc / FPsc; rep from * 7 times, sl.st in ch.
For joining use the same technique. In one case drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook from front to back into the dc/sc of another motif, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch. See the pictures below.
For next joining insert your hook through two motifs, then grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through motifs. See the pictures below.
