Row 1: 1 ch skip, * 1 dc/sc in next, 3 ch skip, shell in next ch, 3 ch skip; rep from*, 1 dc/sc in last ch, turn.

Row 2: 3 ch, * 5FPdc/sc over 5 middle d.tr/tr of shell, 3 ch; rep from*, 1ch, 1 h.tr/h.dc in dc/sc below, turn.

Row 3: 4ch, 3 d. tr/tr in foundation ch (see pictures below),

* 1 dc/sc in middle FPdc/sc, shell in foundation ch ; rep from*, 1 dc/sc in middle FPdc/sc, 4 d.tr/tr in last foundation ch, turn.

Row 4: 1 ch, 1 dc/sc in d.tr/tr below, 2FPdc/sc, * 3 ch, 5FPdc/sc over 5 middle d.tr/tr of shell, rep from*, 3 ch, 2FPdc/sc, 1dc/sc in ch, turn.
