Fingering weight yarn, and crochet hook size 2.5 - 2.75 mm / C.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.

Making a flower. Work first petal: make 5ch, turn and work 1dc/sc^^ in dc/sc of row 6.
Make 8dc/sc in space of 5ch.
Work second petal: make 5ch, turn and work 1dc/sc over the dc/sc^^ of first petal. Make 8dc/sc in space of 5ch.
Make third, fourth and fifth petals as the second petal.
Work sixth petal: make 5ch, turn and work 1dc/sc over the dc/sc^^ of fifth petal, connect flower to fabric by making slt in dc/sc of row 6.
Make 8dc/sc in space of 5ch.
Now make round of dc/sc + picot over the flower:
work 1dc/sc in space between fabric and first petal, 1pct,
1dc/sc in space between first and second petals, 1pct, 1dc/sc in space between second and third petals, 1pct, 1dc/sc in space between third and fourth petals, 1pct, 1dc/sc in space between fourth and fifth petals, 1pct, 1dc/sc in space between fifth and sixth petals.

Change yarn colors for each petal to make multicolored flower:
Row 11: Make 3ch and skip first st, * 1tr/dc in each of next 7 dc/sc below, skip flower, 1tr/dc in each of next 8 dc/sc below; rep from *, 1tr/dc in last st, turn.
Row 12: Make 1ch, work 1dc/sc in each of next tr/dc below, 1dc/sc in third ch, turn.

Repeat rows 2 - 25 until you have reached your desired length.
