Fingering weight yarn, and crochet hook size 2.5 - 2.75 mm / C.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.

Make 7 incomplete dtr/tr in same st, yarn over and draw yarn through all loops on hook.
Work 9ch; rep from *, make 1bbl in 6th tr/dc of next shell, 4ch, skip 2ch and work 1dc/sc in third ch. Do not turn.
Row 5: Work Row 5 over Rows 3 and 4.
Fasten to first dc/sc of Row 4 and make 3ch. Work 5tr/dc in space of 2ch,

Row 6: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first st, 1ch, skip 1st, 1dc/sc in next, * 5ch, skip 3tr/dc of next shell and make 1dc/sc in next st, 3ch, skip 3tr/dc, 1dc/sc in next st; rep from *, 5ch, skip 3tr/dc of next shell and make 1dc/sc, 1ch, 1dc/sc in third ch, do not turn.
Row 7: Work Row 7 in front of Row 6.
Fasten to first dc/sc of Row 6. Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, * 9ch, make 1bbl (front-popping) in 6th tr/dc of next shell below; rep from *,
work 9ch and 1dc/sc in last dc/sc of row 6, turn.
Row 8: Work Row 8 over Rows 7 and 6.
Fasten to first dc/sc of Row 7. Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, * 11 tr/dc in space of 5ch, 1dc/sc in space of 3ch; rep from *, work 11 tr/dc in space of 5ch and 1dc/sc in last dc/sc of row 7, turn.
Repeat rows 3 - 8 until you have reached your desired length.
