Materials
Fingering weight yarn, and crochet hook size 2.5 - 2.75 mm / C.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.

Row 2 (RS): make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, work 1dc/sc in each of next dc/sc below, turn.
Row 3: repeat Row 2.
Row 4: Make 1ch, skip first dc/sc of Row 1, work 1ltr/ldc in next:
yarn over (YO), insert hook into st, YO, draw up a long loop; YO, draw through first loop on hook, YO and draw through all loops on hook.
Work 2ltr/ldc in same dc/sc of Row 1. * Skip 2dc/sc of Row 1, make 3 ltr/ldc in next st; rep from *, make 1dc/sc in last dc/sc of Row 3, turn.
Row 5: make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, work 1dc/sc in each of next st, turn.
Rows 6 & 7: repeat Row 5.
Row 8: Work 1ch and 1ltr/ldc in first dc/sc of Row 5,
* skip 2dc/sc of Row 5, make 3 ltr/ldc in next st; rep from *, skip 2dc/sc of Row 5, make 2 ltr/ldc in last st of Row 5 and 1dc/sc in last dc/sc of Row 7, turn.
Rows 9, 10 & 11: make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, work 1dc/sc in each of next st, turn.
Row 12: repeat Row 4, work all ltr/dc in dc/sc of Row 9.
Rows 13-21: repeat Row 9.
Row 22: make 1ch, * work 1dc/sc in each of next 4 st, place marker over 10th dc/sc of Row 16 and work leaves and stem over this stitch.
Leaf: YO 4 times, insert hook as for front post st, YO and pull through; YO hook and draw through first 2 loops on hook. Repeat preceding step until you have only 2 loops left on hook.
YO 3 times, insert hook into base of pervious st and work incomplete ttr/dtc.
YO 2 times, insert hook into base of same first st and work incomplete dtr/tr. YO 1 time, insert hook into base of same first st and work incomplete tr/dc.
YO hook and draw through first 2 loops on hook. Repeat preceding step until you have only 1loop left on hook.
Skip 1dc/sc and work 1dc/sc in each of next 4st, make stem over same dc/sc of Row 16: YO 3 times, insert hook as for front post st and make ttr/dtc.
Skip 1dc/sc and work 1dc/sc in each of next 4st, make one more leaf over same dc/sc of Row 16.
Skip 1dc/sc and work 1dc/sc in each of next 3st; rep from *.
Skip 17 dc/sc of Row 16 and place marker over 18th dc/sc of Row 16; work next leaves and stem over this stitch.
Make 1dc/sc in last st, do not turn.
Row 23: fasten to first dc/sc of pervious row, make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first st, work 1dc/sc in each of next st below, turn.
Rows 24 & 25: make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, work 1dc/sc in each of next st, turn.
Row 26: repeat Row 25 but do not turn.
Row 27: fasten to first dc/sc of pervious row, make 1ch, * work 1dc/sc in each of next 7dc/sc below, skip 5 sts for flower bud and place marker over 6th st, work 5 clusters of 2 ltr/ldc into stem of Row 22:
YO, insert hook into top of stem, YO, draw up a long loop; YO, draw through first loop on hook, repeat preceding step one more time, YO and draw through all loops on hook.
Make 4 more clusters into stem.
Continue crochet the row, work 1dc/sc in each of next 6dc/sc below; rep from *, make 1dc/sc in last st, turn.
Row 28: make 1ch, * 1dc/sc in each of next 7dc/sc below, work 1Back Post dc/sc over each of next 5 clusters, 1dc/sc in each of next 6dc/sc below; rep from *, make 1dc/sc in last st, turn.
Rows 29, 30, 31, 32 & 33: make 1ch and 1dc/sc in first dc/sc below, work 1dc/sc in each of next st, turn.
Repeat rows 2 - 33 until you have reached your desired length.
Finishing
Pull threads of first and last clusters to down on the right side of the fabric to make a desired form of the flower bud. Embroider stamens and make steam blocking.
