MyPicot crochet stitch patterns are versatile designs that can be worked using any thread or yarn. Most yarns have the recommended crochet hook size on the label. But you can play around with different options to get tighter or looser crochet fabric.

dc / sc - means one stitch, the British double crochet is the same as the American single crochet. The British treble crochet is the same as the American double crochet - tr / dc.
