Feel free to use any type of yarn (or even thread) for your project. Most yarns have the recommended crochet hook size on the label.
Techniques used in this stitch
Chain stitch – ch
Double crochet / Single crochet – dc/sc
Treble / Double crochet – tr / dc
Double treble / Treble – d.tr /tr
Stitch - st
Make 18 foundation chains.
Row 1: 1 tr/dc in fourth ch, 3ch, skip 3ch, 5 tr/dc in next ch, 3ch, skip 3ch, 1tr/dc in each of next 2ch, 3 ch, skip 3ch, 1 tr/dc in next 2ch, turn.
Row 2: 3ch, 1 tr/dc in next tr/dc below, 3ch, 1tr/dc in each of next 2 tr/dc below, 3ch, 1 tr/dc + 3ch + 1tr/dc in third tr/dc of 5 sts group, 3 ch, 1 tr/dc in tr/dc below and 1 tr/dc in 3rd ch, turn.
Row 3: 3ch, 1 tr/dc in next tr/dc below, 3ch, 5 tr/dc in space of 3 ch, 3ch, 1tr/dc in each of next 2 tr/dc below, 3ch, 1 tr/dc in tr/dc below and 1 tr/dc in 3rd ch, turn.
Repeat 2 - 3 rows 4 times.
Row 12: 3ch, 1 tr/dc in next tr/dc below, 3ch, 1tr/dc in each of next 2 tr/dc below, 3ch, 1 tr/dc + 3ch + 1tr/dc in 3rd tr/dc of 5 sts group, 3 ch, 1 tr/dc in tr/dc below and 1 tr/dc in 3rd ch, 8 ch, turn and work 1 dc/sc in top of last tr/dc of 10th row, 3ch, 1 dc/sc in 3rd ch of 9th row, turn.


Row 13: 18 tr/dc in space of 8ch, 1tr/dc in each of next 2 tr/dc below, then continue as in row 3 and turn.

Row 14: work as in row 2, * 3ch, skip 2 sts, 2 tr/dc in next; rep from * 4 times, 3ch, 1 dc/sc in top of tr/dc of 8th row, 3 ch, 1 dc/sc in 3rd ch of 7th row, turn.

Row 15: 3ch, work over each of next group of 2 tr/dc: 1 tr/dc in 1st st, 2 tr/dc in 2nd st + 3ch. Then continue as in row 3 and turn.
Row 16: work as in row 2, 3 ch, work over each of next group of 3 tr/dc: 1 tr/dc in 1st st, 1 tr/dc in 2nd st, 2 tr/dc in 3rd st + 3ch, 1 dc/sc in tr/dc of 6th row, 3 ch, 1 dc/sc in 3rd ch of 5th row, turn.
Row 17: 3ch, work over each of next group of 4 tr/dc: 2 tr/dc in 1st st, 1 tr/dc in 2nd st , 1 tr/dc in 3rd st, 2 tr/dc in 4th st + 3ch. Then continue crochet as in row 3 and turn.

Row 18: work as in row 2, 3ch, work over each of next group of 6 tr/dc: 2 tr/dc in 1st st, 1 tr/dc in 2nd st, 1 tr/dc in 3rd st, 3 ch, 1 tr/dc in 4th st, 1 tr/dc in 5th st, 2 tr/dc in 6th st, + 3ch, 1 dc/sc in tr/dc of 4th row, 3 ch, 1 dc/sc in 3rd ch of 3rd row, turn.

Row 19: 2 ch. 2tr/dc in space of 3 ch below, * 4ch, 2 d.tr/tr + 3ch + 2 d.tr/tr in space of 3 ch, 4ch, 2 d.tr/tr in next space of 3ch; rep from * 3 times, 4ch, 2 d.tr/tr + 3ch + 2 d.tr/tr in space of 3 ch, 4ch, 2tr/dc in space of 3ch, 2ch. Then continue crochet as in row 3 and turn.

Row 20: work as in row 2, 2ch , 1 tr/dc in first tr/dc below, 2ch, 1dc/sc in space of 4ch, * 3 ch, work 9 d.tr/tr with 1 ch between in space of 3 ch, 3ch, 1dc/sc in space of 4ch, 3ch, 1 dc/sc in next space of 4 ch; rep from * 3 times, 3 ch, work 9 d.tr/tr with 1 ch between in space of 3 ch, 3ch, 1dc/sc in space of 4ch, 2ch, 1tr/dc in 2nd tr/dc below, 2ch, 1 dc/sc in tr/dc of 2nd row, 3 ch, 1 dc/sc in tr/dc of 1st row, turn.

Row 21: 3 ch, 1 tr/dc in tr/dc below, work 1dc/sc + 3ch in each of next spaces of 1 ch and 1 dc/sc + 3ch in space of 3 ch between dc/sc. Then work 3ch, 1 tr/dc in tr/dc below, 3ch and continue crochet as in row 3, turn.

Repeat 2 – 21 rows until you have reached your desired length.
