Short row stitches

Cable & wave crochet stitch patterns

These are our very first short row stitch patterns, which began our fascinating journey through the design of botanical stitches. They are very simple, and at the same time, creates a very unusual fabric texture.

Short row stitches are great for crocheting blankets, garments, and accessories.

Intarsia slip stitch ribbing

Geometric & animal prints

Slip stitch ribbing intarsia is a colorwork technique used to create various geometric shapes on super stretch fabric.

In the library you will find popular fabric prints: diamonds, triangles, polka dots, hexagons, cross plus, abstract zig-zags, chevron and wave prints, Greek key, houndstooth and leopard prints.

Slip stitch ribbing fabric is great for making accessories, clothes, afghans and beautiful items for your home decor.

The stitches are versatile and you can use any type and weight yarn.
Techniques Intarsia slip stitch ribbing crochet patterns are worked in the plain rows. Each area of color is worked from a separate ball, bobbin or length of yarn. When a color is not in use, it is dropped on the back side of the work until it is needed again in the next row.
Instructions The Colorwork library contains step-by-step photo and video tutorials to basic slip stitch ribbing and Intarsia techniques. The tutorials will show you how to crochet the first rows, how to begin, change colors, carry unused yarns so that you learn the intarsia techniques and can apply it to all color diagrams in the library.
Required skills You need to know only two crochet basic stitches: chain stitch to starting foundation; and slip stitch for the bulk of the project.

Modular crochet

Mitered square & shell

Modular crochet patterns are great for making accessories, afghans and beautiful items for your home decor.

You can use as many colors of yarn as you wish. There are no limits! This is a great way to use leftover yarn for your new crochet project.

The Colorwork library contains two modular crochet patterns: mitered square and shell. Both patterns create a three-dimensional solid fabric with a rich texture.

The stitches are versatile and you can use any type and weight yarn.
Techniques Modular crochet is a technique in which modules are made individually, and the next module is created from the previous one by making a foundation row and crocheting stitches from it. Each mitered module is created by decreasing the number of stitches until only one remains. Our mitered modules are crocheted with slip stich ribbing.
Instructions The Colorwork library contains step-by-step photo and video instructions to mitered square and step-by-step photo instructions to shell pattern.
Required skills You need to know only two crochet basic stitches: chain stitch to starting foundation; and slip stitch for the bulk of the project.

Crochet 3D cables

Colorwork cable patterns

These patterns with 3D cables on a half treble (UK term) / half double crochet (US term) background create a solid textured fabric.

With Wounaan and Bargello tapestry crochet you can create a very solid and dense crochet fabric. The fabric will retain its shape well and will have a rigid frame without the need for any additional i-cords.

The Bargello tapestry crochet is ideal for use in tube projects. With Wounaan tapestry crochet you can make tube and flat projects.

Techniques Tapestry crochet is a colorwork technique in which the unworked yarns are carried along the row and encapsulated within the working stitches. There are no floats on the wrong side of the work.
Wounaan and Bargello are advanced tapestry crochet techniques where double crochet (UK term) / single crochet (US term) stitches used along with spike stitches.
Instructions The Colorwork library contains step-by-step photo tutorials to classical, Wounaan and Bargello tapestry crochet, and video tutorial on spike stitch.

We do not have hard copies of crochet diagrams and tutorials. We do not send patterns by post mail. All our stitches are only for electronic delivery over the Internet.

The link will take you to the Colorwork library login page. Enter your information and login. Once you are in the library, you can download crochet patterns. The crochet library has the preview images of each pattern with a download button for the color diagrams and tutorials. So, you can choose which one to download.

Diagrams and step-by-step tutorials are presented as PDF files. To view them, you will need a PDF viewer program installed on your device.
