Techniques used in this stitch

UK / US crochet term:

Chain stitch – ch

Chain stitch – ch

Slip stitch – sl.st

Double crochet / Single crochet – dc / sc

The stitch pattern consists of lace strips. The strips connect to each other across slip stitch.

First strip: work 15 ch, join chains to ring by sl/st.

* Work in ring next stitches: 2dc/sc, 4 ch, 2 dc/sc, 4ch, 4 dc/sc, 4 ch, 2 dc/sc.

Turn, work 10 ch and 1dc/sc in second dc/sc from group of 4 ch, turn. Rep from *, until you have reached your desired length.

For last ring work in space of 10 ch: 7 times - 2 dc/sc + 4ch and 1 time 2 dc/sc at the end.

Continue work in each space of 10 ch: 2 times - 2 dc/sc + 4ch and 1 time 2 dc/sc at the end.

Second strip: 19 ch, make ring working sl.st in fifteenth ch from hook.

* Work in ring next stitches: 2dc/sc, 2 ch, connection, 2 dc/sc, 4ch, 4 dc/sc, 4 ch, 2 dc/sc.

Connection: release the hook from the loop, insert it in into space of 4 ch another strip then insert hook again in the loop with 2 ch.

Pull the loop through then work 2 ch (the first of 2ch will look like slip stitch).

Turn, work 10 ch and 1dc/sc in second dc/sc from group of 4 ch, turn. Rep from *.

For last ring work in space of 10 ch: 2dc/sc, 2 ch, connection, 6 times - 2 dc/sc + 4ch and 1 time 2 dc/sc at the end.

Continue work in each space of 10 ch: 2 times - 2 dc/sc + 4ch and 1 time 2 dc/sc at the end.

Repeat second strip until you have reached your desired width.

Color combination

Changing colors is very simple. Just work each strip in its color.

Look at the pictures given below. After first strip the color was changed to brawn.

You can manage the edge of the pattern making different strip length. As you can see from the picture below, 5 rings was crocheted for the first strip , 6 - for the second strip,7 - for the third strip, 8 - for the fourth strip, 7 - for the fifth strip, 6 - for the sixth strip and 5 - for the seventh strip.
