Guide

Materials

Fingering weight yarn, and crochet hook size 2.5 - 2.75 mm / C.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.

Chain stitch – ch

Double crochet / single crochet – dc / sc

Treble / Double crochet – tr / dc

Half treble / Half double crochet – htr / hdc

1 tr/dc decrease – 1dec

2 tr/dc decrease – 2dec

Back Post tr/dc – BPtr/dc

6 tr/dc cluster – 6cl

Row 1: skip 3ch, work 1dec over next 2 ch (work 1 incomplete tr/dc over each of next 2st, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook), * 1tr/dc in next ch, 3ch, 1dc/sc in next, 3ch, 1tr/dc in next, 2dec over next 3ch; rep from *, make 1tr/dc in next ch, 3ch, 1dc/sc in next, 3ch, 1tr/dc in next, 1dec over next 2ch, 1tr/dc in last ch, do not turn.

Row 2: fasten to third ch of pervious row and make 4ch, * make 6cl into next dc/sc below (work 6 incomplete tr/dc into same st, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook).

Make 5ch; rep from *, work 3ch instead 5ch, 1dc/sc in last tr/dc, turn.

Row 3: fasten to first dc/sc of pervious row and make 4ch, skip first tr/dc and dec st of Row 1,

* make 1BPtr/dc over each of next 2 tr/dc of Row 1, 3ch, 1dc/sc in dec st of Row 1.

Work 3ch; rep from *, work 1BPtr/dc over each of next 2 tr/dc of Row 1, 3ch, 1dc/sc in first ch of previous row, do not turn.

Row 4: fasten to first ch of pervious row and make 3ch, work 3cl into first dc/sc of Row 2,

* 5ch, work 6cl into space between two loops of dc/sc below; rep from *.

Make 5ch, work 3cl into first ch of Row 2, 1htr/hdc into last dc/sc of previous row, turn.

Row 5: fasten to first htr/hdc and make 1ch, * work 1FPtr/dc over next Pst, 3ch, 1dc/sc into top of cluster of Row 2, make 3ch.

Work 1FPtr/dc over next Pst; rep from *, make 1dc/sc in third ch, do not turn.

Row 6: fasten to first ch of pervious row and make 4ch, * work 6cl into space between two loops of dc/sc below.

Make 5ch; rep from *, make 3ch instead 5ch, 1dc/sc in last dc/sc below, turn.

Row 7: fasten to first dc/sc of pervious row and make 4ch, * make 1BPtr/dc over each of next 2 Pst below, 3ch, 1dc/sc into top of cluster of Row 4, 3ch; rep from *, make 1BPtr/dc over each of next 2 Pst below, 3ch, 1dc/sc into first ch of previous row, do not turn.

Repeat rows 4 - 7 until you have reached your desired length.
