Materials

Pearl crochet cotton size 8, and steel crochet hook size 1.50 - 1.75 mm / 8 - 6.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.


Techniques used in this stitch

UK / US crochet term:

Chain stitch – ch

Slip stitch – sl.st

Double crochet / Single crochet – dc / sc

Treble / Double crochet – tr / dc

Double treble / Treble – d.tr / tr

3 tr / dc cluster – cls.

Picot of 5ch – picot

Popcorn of 5 tr/dc – pn5: work 5 tr/dc in the same space of 1 ch. Drop the loop from your hook. Insert your hook from back to front under the top 2 loops of the first tr/dc of the group. Grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch. Make 1 ch.

Big wings.

Take yarn of brown color and work next:

Row 1: make 2 foundation ch, work in last ch 16 dc/sc, sl.st in second ch.

Row 2: 1ch, work 16 dc/sc into ring, sl.st in ch.

Row 3: 1ch, work 21 dc/sc into ring, sl.st with yarn of beige color in ch.

Row 4: 8ch, 3 st skip, * 1tr/dc in next, 5 ch, 2 st skip; rep from * 5 times, sl.st in third ch.

Row 5: 2ch, * 5 dc/sc in space of chs, 1 dc/sc in tr/dc below; rep from*, 6 times, 5 dc/sc in space of 5 ch, sl.st in second ch, turn.

Row 6: work dc/sc in back loop of st below. Make 2ch, * 1 dc/sc in next 5 sts, 2 dc/sc in the next st; rep from * 5 times, 1 dc/sc in next 6 sts, sl.st with yarn of blue color in second ch, turn.

Row 7: 2 ch, work dc/sc in in back loop of st below, sl.st in second ch.

Row 8: 5ch, * skip 2 sts, 1dc/sc in next, 4ch; rep from * 3 times, 1dc/sc in next, 1ch, skip 2 sts, 1tr/dc in next, turn.

Row 9: 5 ch, * 1 dc/sc in space of 4ch, 4 ch; rep from *, 1time, 1 dc/sc in space of 4ch, 1 ch, 1 tr/dc in space of 5ch, turn.

Row 10: 5ch, 1 dc/sc in space of 4ch, 4ch, 1 dc/sc in next space of 4ch, 1 ch, 1 tr/dc in space of 5ch, turn.

Row 11: 5 ch, 1 dc/sc in space of 4ch, 1 ch, 1 tr/dc in space of 5ch, turn.

Row 12: 2 ch, 1 tr/dc in space of 5ch, turn.

Take brown yarn and work next rows.

Row 13: 2ch, work 3 dc/sc in each hole (you now have 15dc/sc).

Continue crochet dc/sc in back loop of sts below. Make 1 dc/sc in next 5 sts below, * 2 dc/sc in the same st, 6 dc/sc in next 5 sts below ; rep from * times, work 3 dc/sc in each hole (15dc/sc), sl.st in second ch, turn.

Row 14: 2ch, 1 dc/sc in back loop of next 38 sts below, turn, 5 ch, skip 4st, 1 cls. in next, 5 ch, skip 2 sts, 1dc/sc in next, turn; 1ch, 5 dc/sc in first space of 5 ch, picot, 5 dc/sc in next space of 5 ch.

Continue work over dc/sc of row 13. Make 1 dc/sc in back loop of next 29 sts below, sl.st in second ch.

Small wings.

Take yarn of brown color and work next:

Row 1: 6ch, 8 d.tr/tr in last ch, turn.

Take yarn of beige color.

Row 2: 5ch, * skip 1 st, 1 dc/sc in next, 4ch; rep from* 1 time, skip 1 st, 1 dc/sc in next, 1ch, 1 tr/dc in fifth ch, turn.

Row 3: 5 ch, * 1dc/sc in space of 4ch, 4ch; rep from* 1time, 1dc/sc in space of 5ch, 1ch, 1tr/dc in first ch below, turn.

Row 4: 5 ch, * 1dc/sc in space of 4ch, 4ch; rep from* 1time, 1dc/sc in space of 5ch, 1ch, 1tr/dc in first ch below, turn.

Row 5: 5 ch, * 1dc/sc in space of 4ch, 4ch; rep from * 1 time, 1dc/sc in space of 5ch,turn.

Take yarn of brown color.

Row 6: 1ch, 4dc/sc in next two spaces of 4ch, 5 dc/sc in next space, 3 dc/sc in next two holes under tr/dc, 5 dc/sc over 5ch, 3 dc/sc in last foundation ch, 5 dc/sc over d.tr/tr, 3dc/sc in space under tr/dc, 3 dc/sc in space of 5ch, 1 dc/sc in next space of 4ch, sl.st in ch, turn.

Row 7: make 1 dc/sc in back loop of next 28 sts below, 3dc/sc in the same st, 1 dc/sc in back loop of next 10 sts, sl.st in second ch.

Take yarn of blue color.

Row 8: 3ch, *skip 1st, pn5 in next, 1ch; rep from *3 times, skip 1st, pn5 in next, skip 1st, 1tr/dc in next.

Take yarn of brown color.

Row 9: (work tr/dc into dc/sc of row 7). Make 1ch, 1 tr/dc in first st below , * 2ch, 1 tr/dc in dc/sc below (between two popcorns); rep from *3 times, 2ch, skip 1st, 1 tr/dc in next, turn.

Row 10: 1ch, work 1dc/sc + picot + 1dc/sc in each space of 2ch.

Body.

Take beige yarn and make 15 foundation chains.

Row 1: skip 2ch, make 1 dc/sc in 13 foundation chs, 3 dc/sc in last ch, make 1 dc/sc in the same 13 foundation chs on opposite side, sl.st in first ch, turn.

Row 2: 1 ch, make 1 dc/sc in back loop of next 14 sts below, 3 dc/sc in the same st, 1 dc/sc in back loop of next 14 sts,

* 20ch, 1 cls.in fourth ch, 3 ch, sl.st in the same ch, sl.st in next 16 ch; rep from * 1 time, sl.st in ch.
