Crochet flower stitch

Guide

Feel free to use any type of yarn (or even thread) for your project. Most yarns have the recommended crochet hook size on the label.

Row 1: Skip 1ch and work 1dc/sc in next ch, * 1dc/sc in each of next 8ch, 8ch, sl.st in 5th ch from hook,

1ch, 7dc/sc + sl/st in ring of 5ch,

3ch, skip 3 foundation chs, 1dc/sc in each of next 8ch; rep from *, 1dc/sc in last ch, turn.

Row 2: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in back loop of first dc/sc below, * 1dc/sc in back loops of each of next 7dc/sc, 3ch, make 1dc/sc + 2ch in first, third and fifth dc/sc of ring, 1dc/sc in seventh dc/sc, 3ch, skip 1dc/sc below, 1dc/sc in back loops of each of next 7dc/sc; rep from*, 1dc/sc in back loop of last dc/sc below, turn.

Row 3: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in back loop of first dc/sc below, * 1dc/sc in back loops of each of next 5dc/sc, 1FPtr/dc over dc/sc of Row 1 (see pictures). Make 3ch, work 1dc/sc + 3tr/dc + 1dc/sc in each space of 2ch, 3ch, 1FPtr/dc over dc/sc of Row 1.

Skip 2st, 1dc/sc in back loops of each of next 5dc/sc; rep from *, 1dc/sc in back loop of last dc/sc below, turn.

Row 4: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in back loop of first dc/sc below, * 1dc/sc in back loops of each of next 5dc/sc, 3ch, make 1FPdc/sc + 3ch over first, second and third dc/sc of Row 2, 1FPdc/sc over fourth dc/sc, 3ch, skip FPtr/dc below, 1dc/sc in back loops of each of the next 5dc/sc; rep from*, 1dc/sc in back loop of last dc/sc, turn.

Row 5: Make 1ch and 1dc/sc in back loop of first dc/sc, * 1dc/sc in back loops of each of next 3dc/sc, 1FPtr/dc over FPtr/dc of the Row 3. Make 3ch, work 1dc/sc + 5tr/dc + 1dc/sc in each space of 3ch, 3ch, 1FPtr/dc over FPtr/dc of Row 3. Repeat rows 2 – 17 until you have reached your desired length.
