Making a cable

Turn first two loops in the opposite direction from each other. Repeat this step for next two loops of third row.

Pull the upper loops through the lower loops.

Turn two loops of next row in the opposite direction from each other and pull they through lower loops. Repeat this step until you have pulled all loops, then make finishing.

Finishing

The first finishing row is a row of right side of the pattern. So make the openwork part as usually, but for cable part work additional loop for connection:

[2ch, 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below] – make 4 times,

make 10ch, skip 3ch and work 1tr/dc in next ch, work 10tr/dc under the ch and slt in first ch. Work 2ch, 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below.

Finish the openwork part as usually.

Second row: work the openwork part as usually, but for cable part make joining of additional part:

Pull the additional part through loops.

[2ch, 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below] – make 3 times, 2ch, yarn over, insert hook into top of next tr/dc and into the free edge of additional part,

make tr/dc. Work 2ch, 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below. Finish the openwork part as usually.

Third row: work the openwork part as usually, but for cable part make joining of loops and additional part:

Work 2ch, 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below, make joining of first cable loop: drop loop from hook, insert hook into top of the first cable loop and grab the dropped loop.

Pull it through the cable loop.

Make 2ch and 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below, 1ch, make joining of additional part: drop loop from hook, insert hook into the middle of the additional loop and grab the dropped loop. Pull it through the part.

Make 1ch, 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below, 2ch and 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below, make joining of second cable loop (repeat all steps of joining of the first cable loop).

Make 2ch and 1tr/dc in next tr/dc below.

Finish the openwork part as usually.
