Feel free to use any type of yarn (or even thread) for your project. Most yarns have the recommended crochet hook size on the label.
Techniques used in this stitch
UK / US crochet term:
Chain stitch – ch
Slip stitch - slt
Double crochet / single crochet – dc / sc
Double treble / triple crochet – dtr/tr
Cluster of 3 dtr/tr – cls: make 3 incomplete dtr/tr in same st, yarn over and draw through all loops on hook.
Stitch – st
Row 1:
Motif #1: make 10 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.


[Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc] – work 2 times.


Next Motif (#2): make 15 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.

Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to last cls of previous motif: drop the loop from your hook. Insert your hook in top of cls and grab the dropped loop. Pull it through the stitch.


Make 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.

[Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc] – work 2 times.

Repeat steps of Motif (#2) until you have reached your desired size.

Row 2:
Last Motif: [Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc] – work 2 times. Work 4ch, 1cls in slt below, slt in fifth ch.


Next Motif (#2): [ 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc, 4ch] – work 2 times.

Make 1cls in slt below, slt in fifth ch.
Repeat steps of Motif (#2) until you get the first motif.
Motif #1: 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.

Row 3:
Motif #1 (of second row of flowers): make 15 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.

Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining between two clusters of Row 2.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to middle cluster of next flower.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.

Next Motif (#2): make 15 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to same middle cluster of flower.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining between two clusters of Row 2.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to middle cluster of next flower.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.

Repeat steps of Motif (#2) until you get the last motif of previous row.
Last Motif: make 15 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to same middle cluster of flower.

Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to next cluster of same flower of Row 2.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.

Row 4:
Repeat all steps of Last Motif and Next Motif (#2) of Row 2.

Motif #1: 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc, make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Row 5:
Motif #1 (of third row of flowers): make 15 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to middle cluster of the first flower below.

Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Next Motif (#2): make 15 ch, slt in fifth ch from hook. Work 5dc/sc in ring of 4ch and slt in next ch.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to same middle cluster of flower.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining between two clusters of Row 4.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, make joining to middle cluster of next flower.
Work 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
Repeat steps of Motif (#2) until you have reached the end of the row.

Repeat rows 2 – 5 until you have reached your desired length.
Finishing
Repeat all steps of Last Motif and Next Motif (#2) of Row 2.
Motif #1: 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
[Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc] – work 3 times.
Make 4ch, 1cls in slt below, slt in fifth ch.

Next Motif: * 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc, 4ch, 1cls in slt below, slt in fifth ch.
Motif #2: 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc.
[Make 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc] – work 2 times.
Make 4ch, 1cls in slt below, slt in fifth ch; rep from *, until you get the first motif of Row 1.
First Motif: make 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc, 4ch, 1cls in next dc/sc, 4ch, slt in same dc/sc, 4ch, 1cls in slt below, slt in first ch of Row 1. Fasten off.


Multicolored stitch.
For multicolored stitch you should make finishing of flowers in 2nd and 4th Rows.
Row 1:
Repeat Row 1 of one color stitch.
Or repeat Row 5 if you plan to join motifs to previous row of one-color stitch. For this case start with 10ch instead 15ch.



Row 2:
Repeat Row 2 of one color stitch until you get first motif.

Then finish all petals and work slt in first ch, or in first ch + in top of cluster. Fasten off.



Row 3:
Repeat Row 3 of one color stitch but start with 10ch instead 15ch.




Row 4:
Repeat Row 4 of one color stitch until you get first motif. Then finish all petals and work slt in first ch + in top of cluster. Fasten off.
