Materials
Pearl cotton, crochet thread size 12, and steel crochet hook size 1.25 - 1.50 mm / 10 - 8.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.
Techniques used in this stitch
UK / US crochet term:
Chain stitch – ch
Slip stitch – sl.st
Double crochet / Single crochet – dc/sc
Half treble / half double crochet – h.tr / h.dc
Treble / Double crochet – tr / dc
Double treble / Treble – d.tr / tr
Popcorn stitch of 7 dc/sc – popcorn st: work 7 dc/sc in the 2nd ch, drop the loop from your hook. Insert your hook from back to front under the top 2 loops of the first dcsc of the group and grab the dropped loop. Pull it through the stitch.
Front Post dc/sc – FPdc/sc

Row 1: * Make 8ch, 1d/tr.tr in 4th ch from hook, 4ch, 1d.tr/tr in 4thch from hook, 3ch, rep from * until you have reached your desired length of edging, 1ch.
Row 2: Work on opposite side. *Make 3tr/dc, 2h.tr/h.dc, 2dc/sc in first space of d.tr /tr and 4ch. [Work 9ch, 1tr/dc in 4th ch from hook and 1tr/dc in each of the next 3ch, 1h.tr/h.dc in next, 1dc/sc in next], rep in [] more one time. Then work into next space of d.tr/tr and 4ch: 2dc/sc, 2h.tr/h.dc, 3tr/dc, 1ch; rep from * across. Work sl.st in first ch of the previews row instead 1ch.
Row 3: Work on opposite side. * Make 3tr/dc, 2h.tr/h.dc, 2dc/sc in first space of d.tr /tr and 4ch. Work 1dc/sc under middle of the bow (see picture). Then work into next space of d.tr/tr and 4ch: 2dc/sc, 2h.tr/h.dc, 3tr/dc, 1ch; rep from * across. Work sl.st in 4th ch of the previews row instead 1ch. Turn.
Row 4: Make 5ch, * skip 2tr/dc, 1FPdc/sc over the 3rd tr/dc, 6ch, skip all dc/sc an h.tr/h.dc and work 1FPdc/sc over the 1st tr/dc, 2ch, work 1tr/dc into space under 2nd row (see pictures), 2ch; rep form*. Make 1FPdc/sc over the 3rd tr/dc, 6ch, 1FPdc/sc over the 1st tr/dc, 2ch, 1tr/dc in 1st ch of the 1st row. Turn.
Row 5: Make 2ch, work 2dc/sc in each space of 2ch, 1 dc/sc in each FPdc/sc and tr/dc, and 6dc/sc in each space of 6ch. Work 1dc/sc in 3rd ch at the end of the row and turn.
Row 6: Make 5ch, skip 3 sts below, * 1tr/dc in next, 2ch, skip 2st; rep from *, work 1tr/dc in 2nd ch at the end of the row. Turn.
Row 7: Make 2ch, 2dc/sc in space of 2ch and in all next the same spaces, 1dc/sc in each of the next tr/dc, 1dc/sc in 3rd ch at the end of the row. Turn.
Row 8: Make 3ch, skip 3sts, * work 1 popcorn st in next st, 3ch, skip 2sts; rep from*. Work 1 popcorn st in next st, 2ch, 1dc/sc in 2nd ch.
Multicolored:
Colors & rows: 1, 2 & 3 - cyan, 4, 5, 6 & 7 - white, 8 - pink.
