Materials
Fingering weight yarn, and crochet hook size 2.5 - 2.75 mm / C.
You may use any yarn of your choice, and a suitable hook.
Techniques used in this stitch
UK / US crochet term:
Chain stitch – ch
Slip stitch – sl.st
Double crochet / Single crochet – dc / sc
Treble / Double crochet – tr/dc
Stitch - st
Back Post tr /dc – BPtr/dc: work like normal tr/dc but insert your hook from back to front between the the first and second stitches in the row below, and then from front to back again between the second and third stitches.
Back Post tr /dc – BPtr/dc: work like normal tr/dc but insert your hook from back to front between the the first and second stitches in the row below, and then from front to back again between the second and third stitches.

See all the crochet patternsRound 1: 4(beige yarn) Work 4 ch, then make 17 tr/dc in last ch and sl.st in third ch.
Round 2: (beige yarn) 8ch, skip 2 sts, * 1dc/sc in next st, skip 2st, 7ch; rep from* 4 times, sl.st in first ch. Drop the loop from your hook.
Round 3: (pink yarn) hold in front the the chains of 2nd round. Fasten the yarn between 1st and 2nd tr.dc below and make 3ch. Work in this space 1 tr/dc + 1ch + 2tr/dc. Then skip 3 st and work 2tr/dc + 1ch +2tr/dc in space between 4th and 5th tr/dc below. Continue in this way skipping 3 st and making shells.
Now you have six shells. Work sl.st in third ch.
Round 4: (pink yarn) drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook into loop of 2nd round, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch. Work 12 ch, * 1dc/sc in dc/sc of 2nd round, 11ch; rep from* 4 times, sl.st in first ch, drop the loop from your hook.
Round 5: (dark red yarn) hold in front chains of 4th round. Fasten the yarn over 1ch of shell of 3rd round and 7 ch of 2nd round. Make 3ch.
Work in this space 2 tr/dc + 2ch + 3tr/dc. Work 3tr/dc + 2ch +3tr/dc over each of next shell and 7ch below. Now you have six shells. Work sl.st in third ch.
Round 6: (dark red yarn) drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook into loop of 4th round, grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch. Work 16 ch, * 1dc/sc in dc/sc of 4th round, 15ch; rep from* 4 times, sl.st in firs ch. Fasten off.
Round 7: (beige yarn) hold in front chains of 6th round. Fasten the yarn over 2ch of shell of 5th round and 11 ch of 4th round. Make 3ch.
Work in this space 3 tr/dc + 3ch + 4tr/dc + 2ch. Work 4tr/dc + 3ch + 4tr/dc + 2ch over each of next shell and 11ch. Now you have six shells. Work sl.st in third ch.
Round 8: (beige yarn) 3ch, 1tr/dc in each of next 3tr/dc of shell below, work shell of 3tr/dc + 2ch +3tr/dc over space of 3ch and 15ch, then make 1tr/dc in each of next 4tr/dc of the shell below.
Work 5 times over each of next shell of 7th round and 15ch of 6th round: 1tr/dc in each of next 4tr/dc of shell, work shell of 3tr/dc + 2ch +3tr/dc over space of 3ch and 15ch, then make 1tr/dc in each of next 4tr/dc of the shell.
Work sl.st in third ch.
Round 9: (brown yarn) 3ch, 1 BPtr/dc in each of next 3 tr/dc below, 1 BPdc/sc in each of next 3 tr/dc below, 2dc/sc in space of 2ch, 1 BPdc/sc in each of next 3 tr/dc below, 1 BPtr/dc in each of next 4 tr/dc below.
* Work 1 BPtr/dc in each of next 4 tr/dc below, 1 BPdc/sc in each of next 3 tr/dc below, 2dc/sc in space of 2ch, 1 BPdc/sc in each of next 3 tr/dc below, 1 BPtr/dc in each of next 4 tr/dc below; rep from * 4 times, sl.st in third ch.
Joining
Join motif in last round over 16 st: 1dc/sc, 3 BPdc/sc, 8 BPtr/dc, 3 BPdc/sc and 1 dc/sc.

Drop the loop from your hook, insert your hook under the top 2 loops of the similar stitch of the second motif,
grab the dropped loop with your hook and pull it through the stitch; rep from*.
